Kurt Angle Undergoing Surgery – Possibly Had His Last TNA Wrestling Match

As first broke on our email newsletter,

Kurt Angle contacted me earlier in the day to inform me that he is having ACL repair surgery and will be out for 4 1/2 months. The surgery is scheduled for tomorrow.

Kurt stated, “I was limited in the ring and don’t want to be anymore. I injured it 5 years ago. Held up until now. I love going 150%.”

With Angle undergoing surgery tomorrow, four and a half months leads all the way up to the end of September, which is the exact month that Kurt’s contract with TNA Wrestling expires. While contract negotiations will be taking place as we head close to September, I have been told that TNA Wrestling has already offered a new contract to Kurt.

It’s not a secret that Kurt Angle has interest in going back to WWE as he stated it multiple times at meet and greet seminars and media interviews; however, we can’t count out Global Force Wrestling and their desire to sign Kurt Angle to give them the credibility they are looking for!

Kurt Angle has signed with TNA Wrestling in 2006 and was told to “carry the company”. He did for years. He was always committed and even stated that, “TNA treats me very well.” However, Kurt Angle hasn’t fully been seen within the past year because of entering rehab to undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery. He returned from that recent surgery a few weeks ago, but will now go under the knife once again.

The Hall of Famer’s match with Ethan Carter III that aired tonight could possibly be his last match in TNA Wrestling.
